What to confirm before buying UAN

Review corrosion control, tank suitability and quality documents with the supplier. Confirm product specifications, handling conditions and delivery terms before ordering.

  1. Corrosion-control requirements

Ask whether the quoted grade includes a corrosion inhibitor. Confirm the treatment specification, dosing controls and supporting corrosion-test results for your intended use.

  2. Carbon steel storage

Confirm that the product is suitable for your tank material, expected storage duration and operating temperatures. Request handling guidance for your storage and transfer equipment.

  3. Inhibitor dosing during production

If a corrosion inhibitor is added during production, ask the supplier to confirm the temperature conditions for dosing and provide long-term storage temperature requirements separately.

  4. Documented quality checks

Request the agreed specification, a batch certificate of analysis (COA) and a safety data sheet (SDS). Confirm which tests and monitoring records support acceptance of the shipment.

  5. Storage and export planning

Agree on packaging or bulk handling, the destination port, delivery window and applicable trade terms. Include tank, terminal and transport requirements in your inquiry.
